Deaf West Theatre’s Spring Awakening is the subject of an hour-long episode of Broadway Backstory, a podcast hosted by theatre aficionado and author, Patrick Hinds. One year after the closing of the groundbreaking Broadway run of Spring Awakening, Hinds weaves together details from several interviews to offer a unique look into the development of the award-winning production. The result is a fresh and insightful account of the development of the production, which includes the perspectives of Duncan Sheik (Composer), DJ Kurs (Artistic Director, Deaf West Theatre), Michael Arden (Director), Andy Mientus (Hänschen), Krysta Rodriguez (Ilse), Daniel N. Durant (Moritz), and Alex Boniello (Voice of Moritz).
