Several student stipends will be available during the project, beginning July, 2013 and lasting through June 2015. The stipend amount and duration of student participation varies, depending on the nature of the assignment. Currently, we’re looking for student researchers. Stipends are available to Madonna University students only.
Research Stipends
We seek three student research assistants: Two from Sign Language Studies and one from Sociology. Ideally, our student researchers will be available to work with the project for the full two year project period. Current students are eligible. Students who will graduate during the two year project period (i.e., in May 2014) may also apply for stipends, and may also have the option to continue with the project after graduation. We may also be able to consider recent graduates.
Research stipends typically do not define a number of hours of work, or a prescribed work schedule: Instead, they offer a flat-rate of pay to help complete a project. This offers flexibility, while also requiring a long-term commitment to seeing a project through to its completion. While we are currently finalizing the amount of each stipend, we anticipate that they will be similar to other stipends available to students on campus at Madonna University.
If you are a Madonna University student of Sign Language Studies or Sociology, and would like to express your interest in the project, please fill out the form below by May 24, 2013. Prior research experience is not necessary – although, it is helpful.
